Keep reading to learn how you can be a Connected Nonprofit and use Salesforce for nonprofits more effectively. Batch Data Import Dry Run
The NPSP Data Importer now supports a dry run mode so to see if there are matching Contacts, Accounts, and Donations before you process records into Salesforce.
After you perform a dry run, Data Import records have either a status of Dry Run-Validated or Dry Run-Error. You can use the list views with these names to see the results for all records that were part of the dry run. This feature is helpful for identifying potential issues you can fix before processing an import.
For more information, see the Administrator’s Guide to Importing Donor Data
We want to give a special shout-out and thanks to John Fine of the Hood River County School District Foundation for suggesting this feature, providing a wonderful specification, and consulting on the implementation! This feature met a large community need, so we’re excited to have the feature live.
