This March: Don’t Miss this Nonprofit Conference for Executives

Looking for exclusive events in New York this spring? For the last stop on this three-part event series, we are making this DOT org event in New York just a little extra special. Crafting this 2-day event in Brooklyn, New York, join an invited community of executive nonprofit leaders with the thought leadership themes focusing on engagement, impact, values, and change management.
Over the two days, you can expect a lineup that will be equal parts inspiring and thought-provoking. We’re elated for our keynote headliner, Arianna Huffington, who will be sharing about her work with Thrive Global, whose mission is to end the stress and burnout epidemic, which is very familiar to the nonprofit industry.
We’ll discuss global and industry trends, cover new technologies and what they mean for nonprofits, and tackle the intersection between the for- and not-for-profit worlds. Speaking of nonprofit and for-profits, we know that you want to learn from both sides of the spectrum. You’ll learn from Niantic (the company behind Pokémon Go and other viral games), on geofencing for events, peer-to-peer texting, and how to make all your interaction points responsive, and from the NAACP on how to maximize relationships with your volunteers in the Digital Age. Check out the rest of the sessions HERE.
This is a one-of-a-kind event with the production of the event focusing on sustainability and a minimal carbon footprint. This two-day event will be held at the Duggal Greenhouse where they prioritize minimizing the carbon footprint of recycling 80-90% of waste from production/events and using eco-friendly printing processes. Not only will the location have an incredibly sustainable setup, but so will the food!
This year we are partnering with Pinch Food Design, a premier NYC catering company who fuses incredible food with experiential design to bring a dynamic culinary experience. To top it off, they use refurbished materials in their designs and recycle kitchen oil for clean, renewable fuel. Their team procures food from local farms, uses seasonal produce and humanely raised proteins. One thing we love even more about them is that they donate excess food from events to the Bowery Mission. They are also working towards being the only officially Green Certified catering company in New York City.
If you aren’t already checking your calendar for availability to attend, check out more sessions and speaker information on the DOT org New York website. Early bird pricing of $249 ends February 14th. To keep this event’s content relevant to the audience, all attendees must be a a part of a nonprofit’s C-suite, board member or VP/head of a department to attend.
If you don’t qualify, but know someone who does, make sure to send them this blog and the request to attend link above.
