Why did the Hub move to Lightning?

The Community Team made the move to Lightning Communities in order to take advantage of the latest and greatest features of the Salesforce Community product. The upgrade allows us to make more frequent updates and enhancements to help make your experience in the Hub more personalized and collaborative!

This new and improved Hub will curate your experience based on the #topics you follow, surfacing content, resources and people that will help you be successful on the platform.

What’s New in Hub 2.0?

The major change is that the Hub is now built on Lightning Communities. The features with the most updates are the Homepage, Knowledge, Chatter & Profile tabs. What’s also new is the emphasis of topics in the community. Topics, similar to hashtags or tags, are the way we categorize and organize content in the Hub, by grouping records by a common theme.

We hosted a 4-part webinar series during the month of March to help prepare for the Hub’s transition to Lightning. We provided demos, overviews, and explanations to help enable you all — our amazing community!

How can I explore relevant resources & content in Hub 2.0?

Follow topics! The Hub in Lightning is personalized and curated to your interests based on the topics that you follow. The “Your Content” section — your Feed, Knowledge Articles, Ideas and People, on your homepage will populate based on what you follow — so we recommend that you go follow some topics! Log in to the Hub and click on the “Topics” tab.

How do I access the Hub?

Log in to the Power of Us Hub at with your Salesforce credentials. Please note: the Power of Us Hub is an online community that is exclusive to customers, partners and staff.
