The College of William & Mary Selects Salesforce as University-Wide CRM

The prestigious College of William & Mary has been a Salesforce Foundation customer for some time now. Deploying Salesforce, alongside Salesforce partner TargetX and others, the College’s undergraduate admissions department was the first adopter on campus. The department utilized the CRM to transform the way prospective student data was both captured and managed – moving from manual, time-consuming processes to automated and efficient ones.
As news of the admissions department’s success spread across campus, more and more requests for CRM started to pop up – ultimately leading to the College’s decision to deploy an institution-wide CRM. W&M has just announced three partners to help them achieve this: the Salesforce Foundation, TargetX, and ACF Solutions. With the the Salesforce Foundation’s Connected Campus strategy at their side, W&M has already created a cross-functional project team to begin designing the solution architecture and planning integrations. While this first step is underway, the College is using a phased, multi-year approach to successfully deploy the technology. Looking forward to the deployment’s success, Bernadette Kenney, Deputy CIO, said in their announcement, “A CRM will help us work smarter and lead to more meaningful reporting and analytics. It will help provide the university with a better sense of a student’s experience – a better sense of their successes, their involvement and their engagement – and allow us to coordinate communication among all of the university’s departments.”
