Salesforce.org’s Power of US Weekly Office Hours are Heading to Dreamforce

“Really? I can come back here every Friday and get more information from you?” She couldn’t believe she’d just received a list of helpful starting advice from two Salesforce MVPs, an NPSP contributor and the leader of one of the country’s largest nonprofit User Groups, all for the “cost” of 30 minutes of her time and a dial-in meeting via her computer. Meanwhile, another dozen users and community experts were listening in on the line, learning and commenting themselves. The answer to her question: “well, yes, we offer this pretty much every Friday…and this was a quiet week!”
As a Salesforce MVP, I host the Salesforce.org’s Power of Us Weekly Office Hours, a service of the Power of Us HUB community – an online community for Salesforce users from nonprofit and higher ed institutions. Every Friday at 12:00 PM Eastern / 9:00 AM Pacific, three or four community champions gather online to answer questions from users on any Salesforce topic. On the second Friday of the month, it’s all about Higher Education; the other Fridays, it’s for nonprofit users. It’s like having a conversation in the Power of Us HUB, only you get to talk to someone “live!” Though there will be no office hours on Friday, September 4, due to the Labor Day Holiday, you can see the complete schedule and join us on September 11th for our next Office Hours.
Since the end of January 2015, we’ve had 86 experts participate in over 24 sessions, and answered more than 150 questions. But the most exciting part happens in a few weeks’ time – we’re taking Office Hours “face-to-face” at Dreamforce! The HUB Genius Bar will be open for answers throughout the conference (except during the main keynotes). Your community heroes from the Friday Office Hours sessions and from the Power of Us HUB, will be there during the week to share their expertise – including questions and answers related to the Nonprofit Starter Pack, NGO Connect, Reports and Dashboards, Marketing Cloud, Higher Ed, apps and customization.
See something in a Dreamforce session and want to learn more? Have a tricky security problem that only a fellow nonprofit person would understand? Wondering what apps or features can help you with marketing or program management? Or just looking to get started on the right path? We can help with that! Hope to see you at the HUB Genius Bar in the Foundation Zone at the Marriott Marquis hotel from September 15 – 18 at Dreamforce!
