Salesforce.org at SXSW Interactive: Analytics Cloud, the Future of Corporate Philanthropy, and a Few Cocktails

This year, South by Southwest introduces SXgood, the official platform for social good at the SXSW. We would’ve gone anyway, but we’re thrilled to be a part of this new series of sessions, panels and events focused on the future of giving back.
If you’re headed to SXSW Interactive this weekend, there are three great opportunities to catch up with Salesforce.org:
Session: #2030NOW: Innovations for the World We Want
Monday, March 16 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Trinity Hall
From flying cars to a robot petting zoo, waves of change are coming to SXSW. And not to disappoint, we’re bringing our own Wave Analytics Cloud.
Don’t miss us in the United Nations Foundation’s #2030NOW: Innovations for the World We Want session. In our presentation, “Creating a ‘Digital Demand Commons’ to Anticipate the Needs of 8 Billion People,” you’ll see how the Analytics Cloud is powering a community of open data exchange that will help the world prepare for the needs of a changing population.
This session focuses on the efforts of Project 8, a collaboration between the United Nations, the United Nations Foundation, the Demand Institute (jointly operated by Nielsen and The Conference Board), Salesforce, and Accenture.
Here’s a sneak peek of this groundbreaking collaboration:
Presenters include:
Lori Freeman, Director of Product Marketing, Salesforce.org
Nic Covey, Executive Director, United Nations Relationship, Nielsen & The Demand Institute
Panel: Building a Movement of Corporate Citizenship
Monday, March 16th from 3:05-3:30 pm at Trinity Hall
Discover how leading companies Atlassian, Bazaarvoice, and Optimizely built corporate philanthropy into their culture.
This panel is hosted by Pledge 1%, a movement founded by Atlassian, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado, and Salesforce.org. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product and employee time for their communities. You’ll hear inspiring insights about the benefits of fostering a culture of corporate citizenship.
Panel members include:
Jodie Ellis, Head of Experimental Marketing at Optimizely
Steve Goldsmith, Head of HipChat Engineering & Austin Site Lead
Dipti Pratt, Director, Pledge 1%, Moderator
Happy Hour
Monday, March 16 from 5:00-6:00 pm at Trinity Hall
And finally, join us after our sessions for a few cocktails on us. No invitation necessary!
You can browse all of the SXgood sessions using the SXgood shortcut in the Schedule. And follow us at @SFDCFoundation to connect with us at SXSW.
See you in Austin!
