Salesforce.org Supports National Volunteering Week Ireland

Today marks the start of National Volunteering Week in Ireland, a campaign that encourages everyone in Ireland to try their hand at volunteering. It’s also an opportunity to shine a light on the inspiring work of volunteers and highlight the value and impact of volunteering to Irish society.
Salesforce.org are proudly supporting this initiative and encouraging our own employees to do a little extra this week. We’ll have teams helping refurbish houses with Habitat for Humanity, cooking up a storm at Ronald McDonald House, there’ll also be people doing a spot of mentoring at our in-house (Coder) Dojo, and a number of other exciting fundraising and employee led initiatives.
Volunteer Ireland is also celebrating 100,000 volunteers registered with Volunteer Centres and the I-VOL database since 2005. Salesforce Foudation has been able to support the team in Volunteer Ireland and local Volunteer Centres since this time by donating Salesforce licenses, through the Power of Us Program, for the I-VOL database, which underpins volunteer.ie.
Charlotte Finn, Director, EMEA for Salesforce.org said “We are delighted to partner with Volunteer Ireland for their National Volunteering Week Campaign. Volunteer Ireland and local Volunteer Centres use Salesforce to make an incredible social impact – thousands of volunteers across Ireland have signed up through their database since its launch. We are proud to support the campaign and the work of Volunteer Ireland and local Volunteer Centres.”
