IT’S HERE! Registration is now officially open for the 2019 Salesforce.org Higher Ed Summit!
Higher Ed Summit is where innovation, education, and community come together. It’s a time for the global community of higher ed trailblazers to chart a new course for the future of education. A future where we harness technology and intelligence to personalize every student experience. A future where our institutions become platforms for lifelong learning, and education provides pathways to equality for all.
From the moment you step into the world of the Summit, you’ll feel the difference. The Summit is designed to empower you with new ideas and solutions that you can take back and use to drive change at your institution. It’s a three-day celebration of all of the ways our community is driving a wave of change.
And there’s no better place for making waves than sunny San Diego, California! This year, Higher Ed Summit is co-hosted by the University of San Diego. USD is known as a changemaker in higher ed. At USD, students are challenged to do so much more than just get a degree; they’re asked to step up and create meaningful change in the world.
Because the world is changing, changemakers like USD are transforming with it. That’s why the theme for this year’s Higher Ed Summit is Make Change. Make Changemakers.
Mark your calendars for April 16th – 18th, and register now to take advantage of the $300 early bird rate before December 15th.

Keynote Speakers to include Magic Johnson
The Higher Ed Summit is a technology conference that’s about much more than technology. Yes, we’ll have visionary higher ed technologists there and you can catch demos of cutting-edge tech like Einstein Artificial Intelligence. But it’s also about our community. It’s about empowerment, equality, and the mission that we share: to help every student succeed. In that spirit, we’re excited to announce Earvin “Magic” Johnson as one of this year’s keynote speakers!
Earvin “Magic” Johnson is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Magic Johnson Enterprises, an investment conglomerate valued at an estimated $1 billion. Since retiring from the NBA over 20 years ago, the legendary basketball star has morphed into a business powerhouse who has dedicated his life to leaving a positive impact in underserved urban communities. Having left the basketball court for the boardroom, Johnson parlayed the skills and tenacity he acquired on the court into a winning formula for his successful business ventures. With his continued love of basketball, Johnson is utilizing those same skills and winning spirit in his role as the President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers, working closely with ownership throughout all areas of the franchise.
Johnson proudly serves as Chairman and Founder of the Magic Johnson Foundation, which has awarded over $21 million in grants – cash and technology hardware/software – and made a positive impact in the lives of over 500K individuals through various program and social efforts. The Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program has graduated over 435 students, the HIV/AIDS initiatives have tested over 40K individuals, and 15 Community Empowerment Centers have provided technology access to over 260K individuals. Remaining true to his humble Lansing beginnings, he is unwaveringly dedicated to working with major corporations and partners to bring jobs and high quality products and services to underserved communities.
