Paperless Program Delivery: 2 Nonprofits that Went Digital with Salesforce NPSP

By Norah Stevens-Kittner February 23, 2018

If you’re at a nonprofit, you know you need to keep track of a wide range of activities – from finding and engaging donors to managing your mission through your programs. And let’s not lie; change is hard! It may seem daunting to change your processes or switch off paper to manage your programs, but… we see nonprofits using Salesforce to do just that.

Using Salesforce, nonprofits can save time on paperwork, demonstrate impact to funders and connect with supporters more effectively. The social impact is clear: nonprofits using technology can set up robust systems to track everything from people trained, to goats vaccinated, to health products sold.

NPSP Program Management

Join Salesforce.org and two nonprofits that use Salesforce and the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) for better nonprofit program management, including tracking and delivering progress on constituents, service delivery, and impact.

Cincinnati WorksCincinnati Works is a nonprofit working to eliminate poverty not just in Cincinnati, but in 25 other cities. They work with members to secure long-term employment and develop soft skills. They have a relationship with their members for life, so they use the NPSP to track each individual relationship, and track their progress over time. They also leverage reports and dashboards within the NPSP to understand the true impact of their programs.

Solar SisterSolar Sister is a global nonprofit working to eliminate energy poverty, by creating a network of micro-entrepreneurs (think Avon Ladies) called Solar Sisters, who are equipped to sell solar products in Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania. Not only are they tracking activities that are widely distributed, but they’re also tracking them in environments with little to no internet connectivity. Even with minimal Internet, they’re using Salesforce and the third-party application TaroWorks to track everything from entrepreneur trainings to sales.

You don’t have to be stuck with time-consuming paper processes. There are easy-to-implement ways to use Salesforce for nonprofits to save you and your nonprofit staff time so you can focus on doing more of what you love. Plus, when you can better measure your impact, it’s easier to delight your donors.

Get inspired for how you can better track and deliver impact in your nonprofit programs!
