Introducing Salesforce Advisor Link: Designed for the Art of Advising
Great advisors are a school’s secret weapon — a linchpin in the student journey. But today, so many advisors are faced with navigating complex and siloed systems preventing them from having a single view of a student’s academic experience. Without a holistic view, advisors are left without an effective way to prioritize students with the most pressing needs. This can have a direct impact on both retention and graduation rates. Student attrition is at an all-time high and there’s an estimated $16 billion in tuition dollars higher education institutions are losing out on. Revenue, reputation and rankings are all at risk.
To help schools and academic advisors influence a student’s success, we’re doubling down on advisement and will be introducing Salesforce Advisor Link, a new solution that will deliver insights to both advisors and students — promoting smart engagement at every point of interaction. Built on top of world’s #1 CRM, this mobile advising application will give the entire university community a unified way to contribute to student success. Advisors can scale their impact, build trusted relationships, and focus on keeping every student on track to graduate on time. Students will be able to connect with advising community in one place, schedule appointments, and ultimately see how they are progressing in their journey. The app will be available in 2017.
Today’s students want to feel empowered with tools to help them when they need it most and with information delivered through a familiar mobile and social experience. Through Advisor Link, faculty and staff will be integral part of the journey, too, providing information back to the institution so everyone can have a single point of view using the right data to better support their advising program.
Improving the ability for advisors to advise while also providing a next generation student experience is one of the most critical components to a student’s academic journey and a core component of becoming a Connected Campus. We’ve already seen how many of our customers have built amazing solutions for student success on our platform. Earlier this year we launched HEDA, an open architecture to service as a foundation for the Connected Campus. Building upon this innovation, we are excited to dive deeper into Advisor Link at Dreamforce. We’re taking the best practices and learnings from the community to bring an out-of-the-box student advising solution that will accelerate time to value for our customers and their success.
