1. Two truths and one lie about you!

  • I watch the sunset over the ocean every day.
  • I once went on a jaguar radio-collaring “hunt” in the Southern Yucatan.
  • I worked for one of the first 200 nonprofit orgs to use Salesforce.

2. Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

Community brings me joy, strength, and a sense of belonging. Thankfully the Salesforce space is full of vibrant Communities, such as the Power of Us Hub, Girlforce, Partners, and other less formal groups, who keep close ties. Since the Salesforce communities I belong to are geographically dispersed, connections are usually made remotely, via comments on a Hub post, email, GoToMeeting, Google Hangout, or another digital tool. Of course, I absolutely love meeting people in person at Dreamforce or other events, after sometimes years of remote communication, or simply admiring their Hub comments from afar.

Having worked remotely for the past 8+ years, I lean on remote communities such as the Power of Us Hub to avoid feeling isolated. The strength of the Hub community never ceases to impress me. Not only will the community respond with answers to technical questions, but the Hub also offers the opportunity to discuss issues faced by underrepresented voices in tech (in the Girlforce and Girlforce Partners and Accomplices Groups), share relevant webinars and thought-leadership posts in the MindShare Group, and post jobs in the Nonprofit and Higher Ed group. As Dreamforce approaches, I look forward to exchanging conference survival tips and tricks in the Dreamforce group. In the words of Sansa Stark: “the pack survives”. Thanks for keeping me going, Salesforce community!

1. Two truths and a lie about you!

  • I’ve never dyed my hair.
  • I can ride a motorcycle.
  • I can breakdance.

2. Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

I am passionate about using salesforce platform and I see community as accelerator/influencer in adopting and defining salesforce platform future. By participating in community I get to share lessons learned and present challenges as well as learn from others.

I always believed in power of sharing and really enjoying to collaborate with others. News like “Congratulations Helpful Hubber!” really increase satisfaction level and bring proof that community works well and it is worth to invest time to be part of it.
