For the month of July, we are proud to highlight the community contributions of Nitzan Marinov and Ashley Creech. Thanks to Nitzan and Ashley for all you do!

1. Two truths and one lie about you!

  • I won a 4:30 minute plank challenge
  • I was still in the lavatory when my airplane landed in Auckland
  • I nearly drowned in a 30 centimetre pool once

2. Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

The community is important to me because it’s a great place to support my fellow hubbers and be supported. Most of us are solo admins and it’s so important to feel a part of a community. That’s why I contribute and support as much as I can.

1. Two truths and a lie about you!

  • I love watching tv/movies and often quote my favorites.
  • I love automating things! My life philosophy is “work smarter not harder”!
  • I was a programmer in a former life.

2. Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

I had a bit of a rocky start with Salesforce, and didn’t actually find out about the community until almost 6 months after our implementation. I immediately subscribed to a bunch a groups to try and wrap my arms about what exactly I had gotten myself into. I went to my first user group meeting the following week where SteveMo was speaking and had an “AH HA” moment, things finally clicked. I dived headfirst into Salesforce learning everything I could, asking questions when I hit a snag and answering questions where I could.

Now I have a lot of friends in the community who I love, but also I want to help others have that “AH HA” moment and be successful with Salesforce. If I can save others the frustration I felt, I will feel very accomplished. In the Hub a lot of folks are not only solo admins but accidental admins so they really need the community to be their Salesforce team and support. I could have never imagined how being an active member in this wonderful and supportive community would change my life. So many great humans in one place which is so rare. I just want to pay that forward so others can experience it the way I have.

(This pic is me in my Astronaut! Astro shirt before the Kelly Brothers spoke at Dreamforce last year. I was pretty stoked!)
