Getting Ready for Tech Week Ireland

It’s the 5 day countdown to Ireland’s much anticipated Tech Week 2015 which will see over 80,000 primary and post primary students engage with and learn about technology.
Building on the success of last year’s event, organisers have planned an exciting interactive week of activities running from April 26th – May 2nd with the aim of stimulating thinking around future opportunities for study and careers in technology, through learning in the wider areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects.
”Tech Week is Ireland’s nationwide festival of technology aimed at educating young people on the fast-moving digital world, showing them how this is shaping everyday activities and how it can be used it in a positive way. The conference also informs on STEM subjects and career developments and gives special attention on gender and social equality. All these features are in synergy with Salesforce.org’s focus on young people and technology, enabling us to partner with core educational institutions whose work is to up-skill and inspire the next generation.” Elena Rossi, EMEA Senior Community Engagement Manager, Salesforce.org
During Tech Week, Dublin Castle will be the venue for super events and finals on 29 and 30 April including the F1 in Schools finals (pupils use CAD to design and race model F1 cars), National Young Tech Entrepreneur finals and Scratch Coding finals.
