The Third Edition of the Connected Student Report reveals that 40% of students say they need help managing their course load, and they’re asking for more wellbeing resources than ever before. Students no longer see their university as solely a place of knowledge. Rather, they see higher education institutions as holistic support systems.

Education Cloud for Student Success
Streamlining services and providing scalable support can be challenging. Institutions have a large number of students to advise, and it’s difficult to identify who needs attention or additional help. Education Cloud for Student Success helps staff understand students fast, intervene at scale, streamline appointment scheduling, and personalize students’ paths to reach goals.
To understand students more deeply, the Unified Student Record gives staff a complete 360-degree view of the student with insights from their entire support network and integrated systems. See all student interactions at a glance with the Timeline View so staff can tailor relevant communications.
Then empower teams to proactively engage with automation and real-time data. Create, automate, and aggregate Alerts to identify students in need and quickly intervene.
Meanwhile, Case Management simultaneously unifies advising data while supporting staff-student collaboration in a Digital One-Stop. Staff can quickly triage needs and help students overcome obstacles using pre-built flows to automatically create and close cases, as well as assign them Success Team members.
To build a path to success, Care Plans help students stay on track with personalized plans that work toward goals and address challenges. Staff can create plans individually or as scalable templates, and track them to provide ongoing support.
With Support Program Management, staff track student support programs and the services they provide — from careers to wellbeing — to deliver holistic support and measure impact across departments.
Finally, Salesforce Scheduler streamlines appointment booking for students and staff across channels. Advisors and staff manage dynamic schedules, provide versatile appointment options such as drop-ins, and support Queue Management.
In addition, Education Cloud for Student Success includes these time-saving features:
- Advisor and Director Consoles: Staff leverage pre-built analytics and intelligence — available with the purchase of CRM Analytics for Education — to gain critical insights into student success metrics to support retention and completion.
- Interaction Summaries: Easily collaborate across teams by capturing and sharing structured advising notes, meeting outcomes, dates, and content.
- Interest Tags: Capture student needs and interests with custom tags. Easily create reports and dashboards showing common themes to design personalized outreach at scale.
- Student Portal Components: Enable students to view their Success Team and Care Plans, as well as schedule appointments.
- Success Teams: Support students by assigning individual advisors and advising teams while providing access to extended support team services.

New in the Summer ’23 Release, a Mobile Applicant Portal helps connect applicants to their portal and applications from any device. Additionally, Application Review Workspace Enhancements empower reviewers to add, edit, and delete records faster without leaving the review workspace.
