Recapping the Education & Nonprofit Keynotes at Dreamforce 2022

If you haven’t heard, Dreamforce 2022 is happening right now. And how fitting that this year marks the 20th annual Dreamforce — and it’s also the first time we’re getting the Salesforce family back together in person since 2019!
Between a global pandemic, supply chain constraints, and macroeconomic headwinds, the world has changed since we last gathered in person for Dreamforce 2019. Given the unprecedented last few years, we’ve been determined to make Dreamforce 2022 our biggest, most impactful Dreamforce ever. While thousands are gathered at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, thousands more are tuning in virtually across the globe through Salesforce+.
For us at Salesforce.org, of course, we’re especially focused on our nonprofit and education trailblazers. So if you missed the education or nonprofit keynotes, we’ve got you covered with top takeaways from both. Education Keynote: Wow Your Students for Lifelong Success
Thursday’s education keynote was as much an exciting look ahead at upcoming innovations as it was a much-deserved celebration of the impact and resilience of the education sector through the last three years. Among the keynote highlights were the stories of connection, inspiration, innovation, and impact from our education team, and our amazing education Trailblazers, USC Annenberg and the Queensland University of Technology. It was also very exciting to award one very deserving education trailblazer — Kathy Lueckeman — a golden hoodie!
On the innovation side, Salesforce Genie has been the talk of #Dreamforce2022 and that was no different when it came to education announcements. The education team talked about how Salesforce Genie will provide new and powerful ways to integrate, at scale, first and third party data, and then combine it with data that already lives in the CRM to drive a truly unified student profile, hyper-personalization, and process automation — all in real time.

Nonprofit Keynote: Move Your Mission Forward
At Wednesday’s nonprofit keynote, the focus was on greater data utilization, digitization, and strengthening connections. The day saw three incredible Trailblazers share their stories about how organizations of all kinds are building relationships that drive change, optimize their resources, and grow their impact. Among them is Year Up, which showcased the importance of developing with real-time insights, and KWF, which shared how they motivate volunteers with real-time data. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be #Dreamforce2022 without the coveted golden hoodie, which went to one outstanding nonprofit trailblazer: William Penn Foundation’s very own Samantha Shain!
As part of the keynote, the nonprofit team also announced some exciting new features. Salesforce Genie can now assist organizations in improving stakeholder engagement by surfacing critical intelligence, automating processes, and responding across stakeholders’ touchpoints. Experience Cloud for Nonprofits added enhanced recurring donation features, making it easier for volunteers and donors to manage their ongoing donations using a personalized portal. Last but not least, Data Lake for Nonprofits, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), simplifies setting up a data lake for organizations with just a few clicks and no code, making it easier to innovate, adapt, and scale.
Dreamforce 2022 has certainly been one for the books in countless ways, and our nonprofit and education keynotes were highlights for Salesforce.org Trailblazers.
