[DOT org London] What to Know Before You Go

By Salesforce.org September 25, 2019

You’ve registered to attend our inaugural DOT org event in London next month, but now you’re wanting a little more insight into what to expect before the big day. Look no further — we’ve got you covered.

The agenda is full of sessions designed to enhance your skills, insightful talks from industry thought leaders, and plenty of networking opportunities to help you develop, optimise, and transform for impact.

Below are some sessions to look forward to:

  • A super session on “Impacting Responsibly” with industry giants New Philanthropy Capital, Candid and Urban Institute
  • “Can Giving Tuesday help your charity grow donations?” — a talk on trends and best practices that will be particularly useful as we approach the end-of-year giving season
  • A thoughtful panel discussion about “Collaborative Care in Tackling Modern Slavery” and how critical it is to work together to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 17
  • An exciting closing keynote from England’s dynamic, do-it-all television host, author, and entrepreneur, June Sarpong

Event attendees listening to a speaker.

That’s just the beginning — there are more discussions, speakers, and networking opportunities planned to ensure that you get the most out of the event. One of the more unique sessions is our Ask the Experts lunch, which is a perfect time to get something to eat and discuss topics like Impacting Responsibly, Gift Aid, the AppExchange, and membership management with our partners and Salesforce.org experts.

Take your pre-event prep to the next level by scheduling a 30 minute 1:1 session with a Customer Success Architect or Marketing Cloud Advisor. We’ll have four architects that will be on hand to answer any of your questions covering all levels of expertise — whether you are still in the early phases of thinking about implementation or already midway through, our experts will be there to help you out!

If you’re not totally sure how to organise your day or which sessions you should prioritise, don’t worry! We’ll get the morning started with Plan Your Day, to help out anyone who’s seeking a little extra guidance on how to get your day set around your personal goals. This morning planning session will serve as an informal opportunity to meet with our agenda consultants who will help you out by suggesting the discussions that will be most relevant for you and your goals.

Last but not least, it’s a great idea to get a jump start on connecting with some of the incredible members of the DOT org community in the Power of Us Hub group. This group, created specifically for the DOT org events, is an excellent resource to get familiar with some of your fellow DOT org attendees in advance. Starting those conversations and building relationships before even arriving at the event goes a long way, and, even better, it’ll continue to play a valuable role after the event as you start taking actionable steps on everything that you learned. So join the group, engage with other members of the community, and get a head start on networking before the event.
